Under certain conditions, books, documents, and software or hardware may be reviewed on the Jewish Reviews group.

What is reviewed on Jewish Reviews?

• Selected commercial and non-commercial items may be reviewed at the moderator's discretion at no charge
• If selected, the review will be prepared by the list moderator
• No promise is made that your material will be reviewed, or that it will be reviewed by any deadline
• Optionally, you may submit a previously-published review, in order to speed the review process

How are documents or software submitted for review?

• Contact the list moderator to confirm that the item might be suitable for review on Jewish Reviews
• This confirmation is not a promise that the submission will be acceptable for posting
• You will receive a confirmation number, beginning with the letters JR, as well as instructions for sending the materials to Jewish Groups. Be sure to write the confirmation number clearly on the outside of the package. For security reasons, any package without a JR number will be discarded.
• Send only new books for review:
  • Send the most recent version
  • Send a complete and undamaged book
  • Be sure that the book is complete before shipping
  • Send the full retail version of the book
  • Books that are sold with shrink-wrapping should be sent with that wrapping
• Do not send the following materials
  • Books that were returned
  • Pre-publication books
  • Older versions
  • Used copies
• The moderator reserves the right to refuse to review any item after studying the product.
• In some cases, the reviewer may be charged customs for the materials. That tax must be reimbursed in full by the party submitting the material before it can be considered for review.
• Ship books individually in order to avoid the problem of customs
• Not all books that are received will necessarily be reviewed. They must be appropriate for the audience in the large series of Jewish Groups. Granted, that covers NEARLY everything Jewish, but there are exceptions with certain sensitive topics.

Who reviews software and documents?

• The list moderator will review the product based upon his own understanding or personal feelings about the material.

Are there any technical considerations?

• Submissions of software, hardware, documents, or any other products to Jewish Reviews will not be returned under any circumstances.

Anything else to keep in mind?

• All excise, sales, or import taxes, duties, or levies, as well as any other charge, must be paid by the sender before the item will be considered for review.

What if I want the review to appear on another group?

• You may want to target your book, software, or material to a specific Jewish or Hebrew group. This is a wise decision.
• In that event, you may well consider a paid advertisement on the group of your choice.
