There is a way to change your address in Yahoo records. Sometimes it works.
Our subscribers described two different ways to change an address in Yahoo. This page gives their report of how they handled it. If neither way works, then you can try the third way, which is a kind of kludge:
Method 1
- Go to http://www.yahoo.com
- Click on the Groups
- Sign in to Yahoo! Groups using your user name and password
- On the left, you should see a list of "My Groups"
- At the bottom of the list, you should see Manage My Groups
- Click on that link
- You can click on any Group name and that will take you to the home page for
that Group. On the right you can edit your membership (changing the way
your get messages, etc.) in the group or leave the group.
Method 2
If that doesn't work, try the following:
- Go to http://www.yahoo.com
- Click on the Groups
- Click on Account Info(you will be prompted for your password)
- Click on Edit Membership Information
- Type in new email under Email Information and follow directions for verifying. After you click on finished(2x) it should be taken back to the page Yahoo groups.
- Click on My Groups
- Click on Edit My Groups
- Change email on any group
- Click on Save Changes
Method 3
If both of those methods fail, don't give up. This cumbersome way seems to work frequently:
- Log into your OLD email address. If it's no longer accessible, just skip to Step 5 below.
- Send a blank e-mail message to
LISTNAME-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
Be sure to substitute the real name of the group for the word "listname" and do not include spaces
- Respond to the Confirmation message by clicking on Reply, Send.
- Log out of your old email address
- Log into your new email address
- Send a blank e-mail message to
LISTNAME-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Again, be sure to substitute the real name of the group for the word "listname" and do not include spaces
- Respond to the Confirmation message by clicking on Reply, Send.
