Other sections described the various holidays in which we don't get postings or in which the groups are closed. In addition to those days, let’s not forget two other causes for mail delays.

1. Our friendly Internet Service Provider. Our service is no better than yours, and we certainly can’t predict the next time that we won’t be able to send or receive mail.
2. The recurring problems with YahooGroups – the services we use to send out our e-mail – and sundry other modern-day afflictions, and we’ll have to realize that there will always be some unpredictable holidays.

Nonetheless, the email does go through, and we are able to have orderly discussions. Perhaps there aren't that many disruptions after all.
