In 1988 the WWF was in a state of wrestling which involved wrestlers big tall and muscualor for
the big guns of the federation. Gone where the days of Ricky Steamboat &
Jimmy Fly Snooker so it was time to invent someone that will reinvent the
term total wrestling. So it was probably fitting that the job was to be given to Owen Hart,
hight flying fast and skilled his name the Blue Blazer.
The Blue Blazer displayed a style of wrestling that was totally unique
and innovative, and didn't really catch on with a crowd that was more
interested in the bulk and physiques of the existing WWF superstars.
Blazer quickly became a mid-carder, and disappeared from the WWF
in late 1989. At no point during that initial tenure was it revealed
that the Blue Blazer was the brother of current WWF superstar Bret Hart...
Then in late 1998 ten years after the indroduction of the Blue Balzer
he was to return as a somewhat of a superhero, Owen Hart a super hero you say? Using the brand of total wrestling
that had been missing from the sport behind the sences of sexy legs,
and beer drinking slobs. Maybe it was fitting that Owen left the WWF
the same way he came in? what ever the course the Blazer touched
us on that black day in May like no other wrestler had and probably
never will. Rest peacefully blazer for you will never be resurrected again.
Blazer Quote "the godfather he makes my blue blood wanna boil". |
