I killed this boar Jan. 21st 2000. I was deer hunting in south Louisiana just off the Mississippi River, and had been seeing a little rooting in the area but, had never seen a hog in the past 6 years. On that morning I happened to catch a little movement to my left at about 80 yards. I crept up to him within about 50 yards but, could only get a shoulder shot. I hit him with a 150 gr. Remmington core-lokt. He just ran off seemingly unhurt. I couldn't find any blood, only a big heavy track. I tracked him for about 30 yards through heavy cover and found a small amount of blood. I then found him in about another 20 yards --"Piled Up". I've caught and killed many boars, but he was one of the biggest. I didn't weigh him but guess his weight at around 350#s.

I'm impressed with your site. Heaps of top photo's. I am into pig hunting but all of my hunting is done with my rifles.

HE CAME IN AT ABOUT 150 LBS WITH A KILLER SET OF HOOKS 4 INCHES EACH SIDE.
