My Dearest Erin, It is so hard for me to believe that you are all grown up and about to head off to college. It seems like it was just yesterday when I was a freshman in college and you were coming up to visit me for the weekend. I had so much fun with you, watching you grow up. I am truly proud of you and want everyone to know it. There is one thing I can tell you with all certainty and that is no matter what, your family will always be there for you. I have found that out many, many times. You were always one of the family members who was there. Remember we will be there when you need us. Grandmama always said, "Why do you pull away from those who love you so much to those who couldn't care less." She would be very proud of the fine young woman you have grown into. You are lucky to be a member of our family. We have been blessed with a wonderful extended family who also care for and love you also. You are surrounded by a whole clan of people. Get ready for the mistakes you are about to make. Learn from them and don't get me in trouble with you. :-) I love you with all my heart and soul. Uncle Brian |
I asked Erin several questions and this is what she said: She is glad that graduation is almost here. She is going to be working this summer (for Granddaddy I'm sure). She plans to be a pharmacist when she "grows up". She is looking forward to meeting new people and starting a new segment of her life in college. She says she will miss her family and Sugar the most when she goes off to college. Gift ideas for those of you wondering: house things, luggage, money & jewelry (girl after my own heart) Stuff she doesn't want: junk Her favovite memory with me is when she came to visit me in college in San Marcos and I took her to Aquarena Springs and saw the swimming pig. She also tells me I bought her a purple purse. The first thing she plans to do with me after graduating is going to New Orleans this summer. |
