| I am truly blessed with more than a handful of close friends. I guess sometimes that has been the payback for the multitude of things I have endured in my life. It was all worth it to have the friends that I do. The friends on this page have known me from about half to all of my life. I feel extremely lucky to have been granted these close friends for so long. I love you all. |

| Deborah Sanford was my 7th grade Life Science teacher. I was always more mature than the other kids and she and I had lunch together every day in her classroom. I was in the Science Club and we took field trips. I will never forget the one to the beach when the cabbage heads (they look like jellyfish but are harmless) were all washing ashore. Looking at it from today's standards I'm sure it would not have been advised, and if it wasn't then, we didn't care, we were very close friends. In the next few years there were floods and she and I set out walking all over town in water above our knees. My father owned a video store and I would take a VCR over to her house with movies and we would sit and watch them all day. My favorite gift for her was Adolfo perfume. My junior year in high school, guess who showed up to teach my Physics class. So once again she and I were able to talk and help each other through the life. It was about this time in my life that I came out. She was one of the first that I told. She taught my senior year also so we were afforded another year of friendship. Until this day she and I have remained in touch. I went to her and Paul's wedding, with Paula. My life is continually enriched by her. She is a constant support. |

| These two were my best friends in college. Then they move off and I went my way but we would find each other, they would find me that is and now that my life has settled over the past few years we are all once again in contact, thanks to the greatest invention, the internet. Kristen is the only girl that I ever dated. She holds the most special place in my heart. She dated Mark Bingham in high school. We both knew him and didn't know it until September 12th when we reached out to each other for support. Kristen, I want you always to know that I love you. |
