Camp |
When I was 20 I thought I'd figured out what I |
wanted to do for the rest of my life. Interestingly, |
I was writing this at the same time. I was |
ecstatically happy & damnedably depressed all |
also a slice of life at camp, my favorite |
enough to get thrown out. The fall-out was |
vast, and extremely painful. I had consequences |
to deal with, for the first time in my life. It took |
years. These pieces are cynical, & wierd, but |
at the same time. Then, I did some- thing "bad" |
thing ever. Please enjoy. |
Dedicated to: Wally KJ Beth Kristen Dan Lance Magic Jim Terry Lowell Sue Monte Eric Tommy Chris, & all Fort & backpacking & Outlaw staff from 1989 & 1990. I love u all. |
Rapid City |
What can I say? I quit school & moved to this |
God forsaken place (the scene of the crime) & had |
a few other adventures in waitressing, freaky fundi- |
mentalist churches, nightclubbing & bass- |
playing, try-ing like hell to "find myself" & get over it. |
I was lonlier than ever in my life, but it was fun... |
I miss those days. Really. I was free... |
