Other Woman You might be my soul mate but she might be yours, or maybe that bond's over-rated. Any one individual is powerful if the choice to be is made just for being alive. So why this need for joining, where any standard is accepted because the real prize comes at such a price? It's necessary to wander in the wilderness, starve in the desert, be left for dead several times over before one is ready to look for one who's worthy, if ever. And then, who knows; if your journey is parallel to mine and hers to yours, and his to hers, and so on-- Do we all win by default or have we all lost something and don't even know it? Perhaps the desert is more habitable now that some water-lore has been gifted unto me. If I find her out there in a drift, collapsed and thirsty and dehydrated, I think I'll give her a drink.
