Meet the Chef
Chef Gerald Carder is a lifelong resident of the state of Kansas and has enjoyed great home cooking all of his life.  Having grown up in a farming community, he has had ample opportunities to experience working with fresh natural ingredients, both in meats and garden produce.

Chef Gerald has always enjoyed being in the kitchen.  Throughout his life, many of his friends told him he should open a restaurant.  After retiring from a career in the field of education, including teaching and administration, he wanted to "take up a new life" in the food industry.  He discovered the Personal Chef industry in the fall of 2002 and a new career, Pamper Your Palate, A Personal Chef business was born.

Pamper Your Palate is a result of Chef Gerald's belief that we have become too busy with demanding careers and hectic schedules that often prevent us from being able to enjoy wholesome, fresh, nutritious meals at home.  The alternatives (eating out or eating carryout) have become a convenience with poor nutritional results.

Chef Gerald and his wife Elaine (who is also retired from a career in education) have found great enjoyment in being able to provide their clients with healthy eating alternatives for busy lives.  They enjoy cooking for "regular" clients, where they prepare foods for several weeks at a time, and also preparing meals for "special events" within clients' homes.  Each venue provides them with the opportunity to give to others and to share their love for preparing custom-made meals.

Both Chef Gerald and his wife are always on the lookout for new and exciting ways of preparing foods. They can often be found trying new recipes for future use in their business or for family and friends.

Gerald and Elaine are members of the American Personal Chef Association and are bonded. Chef Gerald is ServSafe certified.
