I have just recently lost my best friend of 16 years who was a great companion, protector, friend but most of all a family member....
My dog rocky died of a stroke with a temperature of 108, his hearing was fading as well as his eye sight, but he hung in there with no suffering til the stroke, We had no choice but to put him at rest and for that this page is being made to honor him as well as my cat Tiff of 10 years I lost a few months back. So if your an animal lover you'll understand the need for this page, If not then I bid you farewell and on to other pages in hopes of making your day a little brighter. Thank you...

Rocky at Christmas speaking

And this is Rocky below That a friend of mine did for me, trying to make the best out of a not so great picture cuz of the flash and all, But I love it dearly... I will scan better pics. and more soon. We went to the dog pound my son and I, when I was a single mother looking for just the right dog. My son walked up and down the rows, not knowing at his young age what happens to these animals who are not chosen, but when we seen these cute little fat furballs climbing up the fence to greet us my son's eyes lit up, Rocky was part collie and cocker spaniel and he was soon to be going to the next room where dogs just don't come back.....So of course not only did we give him another chance at life, but he fulfilled ours as well....
He was the greatest as some would say (mut) that you could ask for, He never had all those problems like pure breds. He learned many many tricks easy, and most of all he was my son's right hand man and playmate for the longest time ,Rocky even led me to my son when he was in danger. No not a mut to me, but a blessing.... Now Rocky is at peace with his wings he earned for sure by now....We miss you Rock....

WHEN THE TIME COMES...
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

This is Tiffany Nicole below, she was with us for 10 years, and yes was a beautiful white fluffy kitty, spoiled and knew it *grin* She was a cuddler mainly with me especially after having her fix after her 1st batch of kittens,,, She didn't like to have her belly rubbed after that, So if you knew what was good for ya then hands off the belly...(meow) She was the greatest mouser she caught everything and anything that moved, and would come meowing to show her prize and want her praise.... I couldn't figure it out for the longest time why she would bring these things to me to see (yuck) but I soon caught on and say (Yep caught that did ya...o---k---- Good girl now you can like take it somewhere else and enjoy....) (whew)
We ended up getting a new pure white blue eyed fluffy kitty which Tiff did not like the thought of at all, But soon we found out that it was deaf, they say pure white cats with blue eyes are always deaf cause of the gene that makes the blue eyes,"Unlike dogs with the merle gene, homozygous white cats do not have visual or reproductive defects, but they are more prone to the occurrence of blue irises and deafness, either unilateral or bilateral, and deafness occurrence increases with the number of blue eyes (Delack, 1984)." Any way this kitty we named precious cause she was, had other things wrong with her which she couldn't grow, etc. and ended up giving Tiffany some disease, So we lost both of them....I again know Tiff has earned her wings in heaven as long as everyone stays away from her belly,*smile* Miss ya bunches Tiff...........

Rainbow Bridge Poem
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water, and warm Spring weather. Those old and frail animals are young again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other. But there is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one suddenly runs from the group. You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
