IS HEAVEN IN THE YELLOW PAGES

Mommy went to heaven, but I need her here today,
My tummy hurts and I fell down, I need her right away.

Operator can you tell me how to find her in this book?
Is heaven in the yellow part, I don't know where to look.

I think my daddy needs her too, at night I hear him cry.
I hear him call her name sometimes, but I really don't know why.

Maybe if I call her, she will hurry home to me.
Is heaven very far away, is it across the sea?

She's been gone a long, long time she needs to come home now!
I really need to reach her, but I simply don't know how.

Help me find the number please, is it listed under "Heaven"?
I can't read these big big words, I am only seven.

I'm sorry operator, I didn't mean to make you cry,
Is your tummy hurting too, or is there something in your eye?

If I call my church maybe they will know.
Mommy said when we need help, that's the place to go.

I found the number to my church tacked up on the wall.
Thank you operator, I'll give them a call.

THE LAST PRAYER

A little girl lay awake one night
Alone in a hospital bed,
She closed her eyes and prayed to GOD
And this is what she said.
"Don't let Daddy be too sad,
And don't let mommy cry
Help Annie not to be lonely,
And not to be shy.
Give my dolls to the little girls,
Who need someone to hug
And give my bear to the boy at school
Who always sits alone on the rug,
Take the flowers beside my bed,
And give then to someone who needs
A cheering up, a brighter day,
Or has a yard all filled with weeds"
And as a single tear rolled down her cheek
And with the last breath she drew
She said, "Oh, and GOD,
I want my wings to be blue."

EVERY DAY PRAYER

Lord grant me the strength that I need this day,
To surpass any evil, that satan may throw my way,
I need your love and guidness, from the time
we break a new dawn
I need your arms around me to help me carry on.
I ask of you to ease my sorrows, to wipe away my tear
To make me whole and new again, to erase all my fears.

I can gently feel your warming touch as it brushes
so close to my heart.
Only to wash away my sins, and to grant me
a brand new start.
As night time unfolds it's darkness, the sky a bitter gray
I need you dear Lord Jesus, at my side I hope you'll stay..
poem by myself..

This is actually a greeting card poem, sent to my daughter from her teacher, I couldn't refuse, It's so cute...

everyone gets an angel . . .

you can't always see them, because
sometimes, they are invisible.

sometimes they are your pet when
he kisses you . . .
sometimes they are

a small
treasure
you find . . .
an angel might even be your friend.

those angels are quiet, but what they are
really saying is: “pink clouds! a good day is
just around the corner.”

so if you begin to worry too much, just remember . .

somewhere an angel
is looking out for you, too.

Where are you headed for heaven or hell?
You're the only one who can tell.
Will you come to Jesus or to the devil you'll sell?
Where are you headed for heaven or hell?

Thoses bound for heaven will have no tears
Nor will they have pains, sorrows or fears.
Thoses bound for hell will have much pain.
From the lake of fire and all its flame.

In heaven the trash cans shall be sacred and free
And they will be with the man that has hell's keys.
Even the angels that sinned will go to hell
And also in heaven, the temple will make no sells.

Those in heaven will have no night
For the Son of Man will shine so bright.
Those in hell shall be in a pit
Which is bottomless and will not be lit.

In heaven you shall shine bright as the sun
and your lifeline will shall always be run.
But in hell you will die a second death
and never again take another breath.

The choice is your, heaven or hell.
You're the only one that can tell.
Will you come to Jesus or to the devil you'll sell.
Where are you headed for heaven or hell?

A Mother's Prayer

In the quiet of the night
I watch you sleep.

As I tuck you in and
savor the gentle sounds.
I glance through the window
and whisper out loud.

God, have I been the Mother
You wanted me to be.
Have I held my children up
and taught them to see.

Have I shown them that
love should always be shared.
Have I taught them compassion
and reasons to care.

Have I explained the values
by which You want us to live.
Have I taught them humility
and reasons to give.

Have I shown them that life
can't always be fair.
Have I taught them that
You will always be there.

As I glance through the window
You help me to see
That I am being the best Mother
that I can possibly be.

Little Angels

When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometime question
the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with
the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world,
seem wonderful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to his fold,
So He picks a rosebud,
before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them,
and so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven more
beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult still
somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows
will always be "Goodbye."
So when a little child departs,
we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.

Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway
a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read,
"HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE".
As I got a little closer
the door came open wide,
and when I came to myself
I was standing inside.
I saw a host of ANGELS.
They were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said,
"My Child shop with care".
Everything a Christian needed
was in that grocery store.
And all you couldn't carry, you
could come back the next day for more.
First, I got some PATIENCE:
LOVE was in the same row.
Further down was UNDERSTANDING:
you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of WISDOM,
a bag or two of FAITH.
I just couldn't miss the HOLY GHOST,
for He was all over the place.
I stopped to get some STRENGTH
and COURAGE to help me run this race.
By then my basket was getting full,
but I remembered I needed some GRACE.
I didn't forget SALVATION,
for SALVATION was free,
so I tried to get enough of
that to save both you and me.
Then I started up to the counter
to pay my grocery bill,
for I thought I had everything
to do the MASTER'S will.
As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER:
and I just had to put that in,
for I knew when I stepped outside,
I would run into sin.
PEACE AND JOY were plentiful;
they were last on the shelf.
SONG and PRAISE were hanging near,
so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel,
"Now, how much do I owe?"
He smiled and said,
"Just take them everywhere you go."
Again, I smiled and said,
"How much do I really owe?"
He smiled again and said,
"MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL
A LONG, LONG TIME AGO."

SPECIAL STAR
The night sheds such darkness
the rain ever so calming a storm
My thoughts turn to the day that you
weren't given a chance to be born

I sit in the darkness staring straight into the night
Humming those nursery rhymes, holding my belly so tight
If only the pain would be no more
My mind would be at ease just like before

The night sheds such darkness
as the news of losing a life
The stars keep on shinning
though ever so bright

I now realize by looking at the stars
That one certain one that sparkles afar
Is the star I had named to be used here on earth
Now resides in heaven and her name is rebirth

I know GOD plays with my child everyday
He had his reasons for taking her away
The night sheds such darkness
although I see light
You'll see them all playing
Just look one special night

A very nice person just sent this one to me, for all all who are alone, Thank you my friend and God Bless

I live alone. dear Lord, Stay by my side,
In all my daily needs Be Thou my guide.
Grant me good heath, For that indeed ,
I Pray, To carry on my work from day to day.
Keep pure my mind, My thoughts, my every deed,
Let me be kind, unselfish In my neighbor's need.
Spare me from fire, from flood, Malicious tongues,
From thieves, from fear, And evil ones.
If sickness or accident befall,
Then humbly, Lord, I pray, Hear thou my call.
And when I'm feeling low, Our in despair,
Lift up my heart, And help me in my prayer.
I live alone, dear Lord, Yet have no fear,
Because I feel Your Preseance Ever near.
Amen.
