Located on Calle O off the Malecon, this historic hotel offers visitors the use of a full business service, 5 star retaurants and pool.
The pool is available to gueats who are not staying at the hotel. USD$20 get all day use of the pool, a sumptuous buffet lunch and 2 beverages, alcoholic or othrewise.
The desserts and icecream are not to be missed. It provides a haven from the heat and bustle of Havana when needed.
This hotel has played a significant role in the recent history of Cuba with the victorious revoluionaries initally basing their new government here in 1959.
The hotel is at Calles L and 23, the centre of Vedado's hotel and entertainment district. It offers many visitor facilities including immigration desk and pharmacy. The hotel also has a US$ shopping centre for those forgotten essentials.
It also offers the use of the pool to outside visitors similar to that offered by the Hotel National but for the cheaper price of USD$15.
