In Loving Memory of Lee Ann
Who became a new star in Heaven
September 29, 2003
She was my cousins lovely daughter
and died of cancer!
If I could have a lifetime wish,
A dream that would come true.
I'd pray to God with all my heart
For yesterday and you
A thousand words cannot bring you back
I know because I tried...
Neither will a thousand tears
I know because I cried"
Lee Ann Murhpy
God looked around Heaven and thought out loud
"I need someone up here to make me proud."
He called for his Angels
and quickly they came
They had someone in mind
And knew her by name
"How about a girl
Who is beautiful, loving and kind?
And one with a very intelligent mind?"
"Oh yes, God said
"She sounds just right.
Please bring her up her
Back to Heaven tonight."
"But God they said.
"That is much too hard
If we took her tonight
Her family would be scarred."
You are right said God
"We will give her a year
But then she will come home
Heaven needs her up here."
"Agreed," said the Angels
and they all dispersed
To ease all her hurts
With each tear they saw,
They wiped them away
They held her in their arms
And whispered, "Someday."
After a year and three months
She kissed Craig on the cheek
Squeezed her Mother's hand
And tried not to weep
The Angels surrounded her
With love and with light
And off they went to Heaven
On that Monday night
All of Heaven gathered
To see this beautiful girl
The new Angel in Heaven
To bring peace to our world
"Please tell my family,
That I am Okay,
I'm watching over them now,
Again I will see them one day."
And with that Lee Ann
Received her gorgeous white wings
And all of Heaven rejoiced
And the Angels did sing!
In loving memory of Lee Ann
This was written for her by her dear friend

Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways
Oh happy times, and laughing times
and bright and sunny days
I'd like the tears of those who grieve
to dry before the sun
Oh happy memories that I leave
When life on earth is done
"At the end of life
We will not be judged by how many diplomas
We have received, or how much money we have made
How many great things we have done
We will be judged by "I was hungry and you gave me food
I was naked and you clothed me
I was homeless and you took me in."
Hungry not only for bread, but hungry for love
Naked not only for clothing, but naked for human dignity
and respect
Homeless not only for want of room of bricks
But homeless because of rejection."

"To Where You Are"
Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear
Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be (?)
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above
Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are
Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen
As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up above
And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave
Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are
I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are
