The Village
Pettigo is situated on the river Termon which runs between Fermanagh and Donegal before reaching Lough Erne. The town is steeped
in historyand in the early part of the 20th century Pettigo was booming
with local industry.
The population
of the town is today estimated at around 300 with another 200 in the neighbouring townlands. There is a strong community spirit among the Pettigo people and the village continue to produce talented people
in all walks of life.
The GAA within the town has been alive since the beginning of the 20th century and we trust that the club will see this one through as well.

Club Crest
The crest holds three main features, the three bridges, the river and the Castle. These can be used to explain the origin of the town from ancient times till today.
Pettigo at one stage wore Green and gold but it is said that the great Galway teams of the sixties had an influence when deciding on a new strip.

Club Ambitions
For any small club the immediate goal is to field a football team, however long term ambitions for the club would be to win a Junior football Championship and maintain intermediate status.
To meet this goal
the club formed a Bord na nog in 1989 and started an underage program which
we trust will produce dividends in the coming years.
Our overall ambition for the club is to continue to promote the Game within the village.
