Ju 86 to become a high-altitude bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. It
served with some impunity over southern England and Russia until some
converted Spitfires managed to overcome the altitude challenge. |

The Focke-Wulf Fw 189 Uhu was an odd-looking plane that
was only admitted to service for its excellent toughness and handling.
The Fw 189 also served as close support aircraft besides carrying out
reconnaissance duties. |

The Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Kondor was developed as a
long-range airliner and had achieved non-stop flights from Germany to
New York and Tokyo. During the war the Fw 200 was converted to maritime
reconnaissance aircraft because no other plane had the endurance. |
