Drabske Svetnicky (Rocks around Muzsky Mt.)
This area is located on the western edge of Bohemian Paradise. It`s actually an Escarpment built of soft sandstone with solid uppermost crust that gave opportunity to make difficult routes. The first ascends were done before The World War II by mostly German climbers from Saxon.
The area contains over 70 rock towers with about 300 routes. You can find slabs, cracks, walls, edges and also some overhangs here. As other sandstone areas of Czech Republic and Germany it requires special way of placing and using protection and anchors. Friends, Cams, Nuts and other metal devices are prohibited here. Instead of those we use Slings, Knoted Cords and the only stabil anchors allowed are massive steel rings.
