Fosters...
Peekaboo and Annabelle---Sisters for Life
Our first two fosters were a set of sisters called Peekaboo and Annabelle. Actually, Annabelle was a Smokey Joe until we took her down to the Hawaii Cat Foundation and found out 'he' was a 'she'! How embarassing!

These two cats were approximately 6 months old and were on the border of being ferals. It was difficult finding them a good home simply because most people want a 'lap cat' and these two were definitely not in that category! Luckily, we found a couple who have the time and the love to give to these two incredible animals.

Peekaboo and Anna are both spayed and will remain as housecats for the rest of their lives!!! Hugs and Purrs to their new owners!!!
Peekaboo!
Fred, the Roof Cat
Fred
The same evening we placed Peekaboo and Annabelle into their new home, a new cat came to us---a black and white adult male with a kinky tail who had been living on the roof of one of our friends! Apparently, he used to live in their house because everytime they opened the door, Fred, as he soon came to be called, would waltz right in and make himself at home!

Fred was adopted by a couple who were looking for a kitten, but once they saw this unique kitty, they fell in love with him and couldn't wait to take him home! Fred is a neutered male and will be an indoor kitty for the rest of his life. Hugs and Purrs to his new owners!!!
Mittens
Mittens, our Huggable Foster
One evening, as we were returning home, we saw a moving shadow in our back yard. As soon as we stopped, I went out to investigate. The 'shadow' was a lovely silver tabby who at first ran when I approached him, but then decided better and began rolling on the ground. As I scooped him up, he settled down and we brought him upstairs. Mittens, named because of his little white feet, had no identification and his fur was dirty due to being outside for quite some time. He quickly proved, however, that he was indeed a housecat due to his love of hugging people, being held, and his constant need for love and attention.

Mittens was soon adopted by a couple that adores him---he is now known as Toonces and is his daddy's little boy! Toonces is a neutered male and a happy, fat indoor cat. Hugs and Purrs go out to his new owners!
Harley, our One Eyed Pirate!
This adorable orange wonder was found discarded in a glass recycling bin by a kindhearted woman who picked him and his litter up and took them home. Soon, she found she did not have the time to take care of the kittens, since they were newborns, and she advertised for adoptive parents. When we came to pick up the litter, only Harley was left---due to his handicap (one of his eyes isn't completely formed), no one wanted him.

Well, we did! Harley was bottlefed for the first two weeks and then he graduated to kitten chow. Soon he was running around, wrestling with Pooka and stealing the heart of anyone who ventured into his territory.

Harley was adopted by Toonces' parents. Hugs and Purrs go out to his new owners!
Cassie and Company...
        Moe, Sherbert, Hershey, and Sleepy
The same lady we received Harley from also offered us a pregnant Mama cat at the same time. She explained that if the cat, Cassandra as she called her, had her kittens in the area they were living in that the groundskeepers would promptly 'dispose' of the kittens. Uncertain of Cassie, since she had never lived in a proper home, but not willing to leave her and her babies to Fate, we took her home with us at the same time as Harley.

Cassie turned out to be a real lady---maybe its due to her apparent Siamese heritage! Within a week, she gave birth to 4 kittens---whom were initially known as Eenie, Meenie, Minie and Moe. They must take after their Papa because only the slant of their eyes and their mischievous nature give away their Siamese blood!

Cassie was adopted immediately after her spay surgery and all 4 kittens found wonderful new homes---Moby and Sleepy even went to a new home together! Hugs and Purrs to their new owners!

All The Kittens Inbetween...
Between the time, I left the military and began taking in official fosters again, I adopted a female cat, CueBall, and a newborn kitten, Spider. They are both spayed and happy as can be.

I also placed a blue kitten, L33t; a declawed, neutered male cat slated to be euthanized, Rummy; a seal pointed fluff of fur to a family who had just lost their 14 year old dog; 3 mixed six week old puppies with a neighbor and friends; one Akita mix with a client of our Veterinarian hospital; a Pomeranian puppy with a coworker and a Dachshund puppy with another client...

The Sunshine Litter
This litter was born to a friend of the family who feeds the cats that are abandoned and live around her house. Fearful that her Pekingnese would make a snack out of the kittens, she sent them to live at my house until we could find them proper homes...

Jimmy Sunshine, Debbie, Storm, Sweetie and Squeaker, the two torties, and Bounce, the leader, all found wonderful homes as well.

Hugs and Purrs go out to their new owners!
