FRIENDS IN NEED COMPANION ANIMAL RESCUE
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER! Friends in Need Companion Animal Rescue Association is a nonprofit organization, established when it was discovered there was a small local animal pound that had no adoption program and high euthanasia rates.  Our goal is to rescue every adoptable dog from this shelter, get them medical care, and find them new homes!  We are not breed-specific, and we do not have a facility to house the dogs we rescue.  All our dogs live in foster homes before going up for adoption.  We rescue mutts and pure breeds, large and small, and we have extensive knowledge of each breed and the special requirements they may need in their new homes.
	We have an urgent need for foster homes in the greater Austin area!  Having more foster homes will allow us to save more dogs.  The need is there; please consider volunteering as a foster.  To learn what is involved in fostering, please visit our foster page or send us an e-mail.
