The
World Of Phantasmagoria Everything
Has At Least One Blooper...
Just like movies and
live acts, video games contain bloopers... especially when
they contain live action. Phantasmagoria is no
exception. It us known if some of these bloopers are left in intentionally,
or where honest mistakes.
List is in chronological
order, broken into chapters.
Chapter
One
- When
Don is setting up his camera in the introductions the
island, not the mansion, is seen in the distance.
- When
the chapter begins, Adrienne is shown with a snowman in
her hands. Before the end of the scene she places the
snowman in a box. When the scene cuts and enters user
control mode, the box is no where to be found.
- When
Adrienne goes to the refrigerator for something to eat,
she never reaches for the food in plain sight.
- When
Adrienne is petting her cat on a couch by the fireplace in
the reception hall, the couch is at normal size. However,
then she stands up the couch changes sizes.
- When
Adrienne walks past Carno's bedroom, you can notice a part
of the metallic archway at the top of the short flight of
stairs disappears.
- During
the "grabbing scene" when Adrienne lays in
Carno's bed, the jewelry box positioned next to a lamp on
a table next to the bed disappears.
- During
the "grabbing scene" when Adrienne lays in
Carno's bed, it is noted that you can see cuts in the
sheets where the hands come through prior to them coming
through.
- Don
shows Adrienne his plans for turning the second floor
bathroom into a photo lab, he places them in a hole in the
wall which does not exist, and you never see the plans
again.
- During
the chapters, the toiletries disappear and reappear in the
third-floor bathroom.
- The
third-floor bathroom, being the most used bathroom in the
estate, has no soap.
- When
Adrienne tries to open the attic door, the ectoplasm above
the baby's crib disappears.
- The
angles of the roof and of the front of Lou Ann's Antique
Store are impossibly severe to the point where the store
does not appear to have a right side when viewed up-close.
- When
Adrienne is speaking with the realtor, a window on the
left hand side of the screen is black as night,
even-though it is during the day.
- In
the realtor's office, the file cabinet appears to have a
lamp on top of it only when the cabinet is viewed
up-close.
- No
background sounds are heard when near Malcolm's house.
Only sounds heard are Malcolm's dog or Adrienne.
- Malcolm's
dog notices Adrienne and begins to bark at an empty space,
rather then Adrienne.
- The
letter in Malcolm's mailbox that is examined states the
following information: "R. Williams" and "Oakhurts,
California". These stand for "Roberta
Williams", Phantasmagoria's
designer, and the location where the game was filmed.
- The
letter in Malcolm's mailbox that is examined shows a
postmark that is the same as when Adrienne examines it in
chapter one.
- The
studio's ceiling lights are seen on Adrienne's BMW.
- The
letter read by Adrienne in the library and Marie's bedroom
are un-aged. Also, there are no folding marks when the
letters are unfolded.
- When
Adrienne reads an article about Carno's
"Phantasmagoria Show" she adds the word
"are" to the article.
- The
pile of bricks that where removed to enter the chapel
disappear.
- The
hinge on the spell book begins to move, causing the latch
to fall. When Adrienne tries to replace the latch, the
hinge is on the other side.
- The
final movie scene shows Adrienne going upstairs to make
dinner on the first floor kitchen.
- The
final movie scene shows Don walking towards a wall when he
tells Adrienne he is going upstairs to clean up for
dinner.
- During the chapter's introductory
movie, a picture on Don's side of the bed is missing.
- When Don heatedly walks away from
Adrienne after their fight, he walks toward the fireplace
instead of the door.
- Adrienne grows larger when she
ask where the strange music is coming from while standing
on the base of the reception hall staircase.
- In town at the General Store,
Harv the Storekeeper disappears when Adrienne looks at the
donation box.
- In town at the General Store,
when Adrienne looks at the donation box, the front door
glass reflects the inside of the building, but when the
view switches back to normal the reflection changes.
- At the General Store, all prices
are noted at ninety-nine cents per pound, this includes
the meat.
- The Lou Ann's Antique Store
telephone changes sizes and positions throughout the
encounters of Lou Ann.
- In the opening scene, Adrienne's
picnic basket is seen, when the movie ends, the picnic
basket is no where to be seen.
- Before Cyrus reveals himself, a
low hanging branch from a tree is seen, after Cyrus is
revealed, the branch is gone.
- When Adrienne looks through the
keyhole to the door that leads to the fourth floor her
jeans are patched.
- The door the tower bedroom is
barred, however the door opens the opposite way, making
the barred useless.
- Ethel, Malcolm's housekeeper,
slams the door on her arm during several occasions.
- Adrienne closes the gate on her
right arm when she leaves Malcolm's home.
- Adrienne
asks Harriet to empty the wastepaper baskets, yet none are
seen throughout the mansion.
- Adrienne
asks Harriet to make Don and her bed, yet they are already
made.
- While
Adrienne examines the necklace that appears in Carno's
bedroom, her reflection is not seen by the mirror she is
standing next too.
- The
woodpile never changes it's size through chapter six, even
though Cyrus is suppose to be chopping and using wood.
- Possible
Easter Egg, Harriet turns into a "giant" if
Adrienne turns on the television while she is cleaning the
couple's bedroom.
- The
water ripples do not "ripple" when Adrienne
peers through the telescope near the greenhouse.
- When
Adrienne enters the greenhouse, the handle of the trowel
points to the left, but changes directions when she picks
it up.
- An
over abundance of light
streams through the window when Adrienne witnesses a night
vision of Carno murdering Regina.
- During
the vision of Carno murdering Regina, the chair in which
she is murdered in is not seen after the scene.
- Adrienne
recites her fortune as "you are" rather then
"you're".
- When
Adrienne finds the dead cat, the outside view of the barn
does not include her car, yet any other time it does.
- When
the dragon light appears a dragon on the wall, Adrienne
looks at the roof.
- When
Adrienne raises or lowers the moving platform in the
secrete passage, Adrienne's hands move, but the wheel does
not.
- The
light in the passage that leads to the crypt is that of
daytime, the scene is suppose to be during the night.
- The
location of the makeup room is reversed when Adrienne
first enters the theatre.
- The
flip cards of Carno's act begins with the text of
"Good evening ladies and gentleman" instead of
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen".
- During
Carno's act, the release level changes positions in
different scenes.
- Malcolm
recounts, "I'll never forget the look of shocked
surprise on Carno's face". Which is impossible due
Malcolm having his eye's closed, and only being able to
see the backs of Gaston and Malcolm from where he
witnessed the actions.
- When
Adrienne enters the house through the back door after her
second visit to Malcolm's house and enters the chapel, the
spell book is on the floor; however, if you would have
viewed through the peephole the book is on the altar.
- The
chapter ends, Don murders Mike at night. The beginning
of chapter seven begins the same day, during the day time.
- The opening
movie shows that Adrienne's suitcase is not zipped, yet
when the movie ends, the suitcase is zipped.
- If Adrienne
takes the spell book immediately after throwing the drain
cleaner in Don's face, Don's cape disappears when it hits
the ground.
- If Adrienne
runs in the direction of the dinning room or upstairs, the
phone by the door is gone.
- During the
chase scene, if Adrienne enters the nursery, the white
teddy bear is missing.
- During the
chase scene, if Adrienne enters the conservatory, the view
of the bedroom door is closed.
- Cyrus's
corpse falls onto Adrienne when she enters the crypt
during the chase scene, yet when Adrienne pushes the
gargoyle on Don, Cyrus' corpse disappears.
- Adrienne
puts the rosary beads in her left pocket during the chase
scene, later she removes them from her right pocket.
- Adrienne
dashes to from the crypt to the secrete passage, she runs
over Cyrus' body with no problem.
- Adrienne
appears to be larger when she runs from the crypt to the
chapel.
- During the
chase scene, in the theatre makeup room, Don's vest that
lies on the floor changes sizes.
- When
Adrienne runs from the makeup room after stabbing Don with
the fireplace poker, the chair at the dressing table is
missing,
- During the
chase scene, when Adrienne comes from the secrete passages
on the third floor, Adrienne is shown running around the
corner of the conservatory and into the hallway twice,
just different angles.
- During the
chase scene, when Adrienne runs downstairs from the third
to the second floor her head passes through the entryway
of the staircase.
- In version
1.0 the spell book is not on the table when Adrienne
returns to the darkroom during the chase scene. This is
true whether she collected it or not.
- The
Christmas snowman is said to be given to Don by Adrienne,
yet in chapter one, Don said he gave Adrienne the snowman.
- Adrienne is
running in one spot when she runs down the stairs to the
chamber, the stairs move under her feat.
- When the
demon chases after Adrienne, the distance between the hole
and the bend in the passageway is shorten,
- At the end
of this chapter, Adrienne can leave the chamber's unbarred
doors, yet the losing scenarios show the demon breaking
through the barred doors, regardless on Adrienne's
previous actions.
- When
Adrienne takes the talisman from Carno's corpse, the
corpse disappears.
