Phantasmagoria idea, how can I tell Sierra ?
We receive a lot of e-mails and messages about being stuck
in a certain places in the game, so try the things below
before contacting us.
First did you try everything? Click on everything that can
be clicked on? Talk with everyone if you can talk with them?
Second, try using our in-depth walkthrough of the game. We
use it and so did many others, and they survived the horror of
Phantasmagoria 2.
Everyone at lease had a problem with Phantasmagoria 2, and
if you haven't expect to soon :)
Find patches at http://www.sierra.com
Due to the game no longer being sold, you may have to
contact Sierra by their technical support number listed in the
documentation that came with the game.
If you are using Windows 9X follow the following
instructions.
- go to start, programs, windows explorer.
- find the Sierra folder and open it.
- Then open the P2win folder and find the Resource.win
- Open the Resource.win with notepad or any other form of
a word processor
- Once you opened the Resource.win, scroll down to the
last two lines and delete replace them with
useDirectDraw=FALSE
useDirectSound=FALSE
- Save
your changes and try playing the game.
If that
doesn't work, your computer might not be able to handle the
game under Windows 95, try downloading
a patch that can make Phantasmagoria 2 run in DOS. - This link
may not be valid, contact Sierra for technical support.
If you experience a major problem with your game you can
either e-mail us, or contact Sierra's Technical Support.
If your system does not match or
better the listed system requirements, you can not run the
game and will need to purchase or upgrade your system. You can
do so at Gateway.com, Dell.com, or Newegg.com.

Go to Start | Find | Find Files or
Folders...

In the Named Section type: Sierra.ini
-
In the Look In section select your Hard
Drive, if you have more then one Hard Drive, select the
Local hard drive option.

Click on Find Now and let is search the
drives

When the results are finished, click on
the Sierra.ini that was found and delete it.

Restart the computer by shutting down
COMPLETELY

Boot up your computer into Windows, and
insert the game.

The game should Auto run, if not go to My
Computer and select your CD-Rom Drive.

Click install on the games main menu
-
When the game says something about a
system test, select Cancel, or No
-
This will FAIL THE TEST, but as long as
your system meets the requierments on the box or manual,
your safe.

Continue with the installation as normal
and enjoy the game.
