Holestar is a real woman who takes on the guise of a Drag Queen, therefore a Drag Goddess or as she likes to say a 'Tranny with a Fanny' or 'Cock-in-a-frock-without-the-cock'. She is often compared to San Francisco's 'Faux Queens' but she says, "I'm not fake anything darling!"
The drag character was conceived initially as performance art piece that has taken a life of its own.
Working as the door whore in her Domina guise at the Vienna Life Ball (one of Europe's biggest AIDS benefit events) and meeting a DJ who liked her filthy wit, he asked her to talk dirty over his sets as an event host.
Not wanting to be yet another girlie with a microphone, she developed the character through her continued artistic interest in sex, sexuality and gender. After seeing many a drag act on the scene, thinking 'I could do that' and not wanting to fall into an obvious 'king' role, took inspiration from the film Victor/Victoria and started to dress as a drag queen.
Whilst being paid in vodka during an MC set, she began to sing improvised lyrics over the top and the rest is herstory.
Rather than banging out drag standards (being active in the club scene for over 15 years and largely inspired by electronic driven music) she predominately performs live bootlegs/mash ups from electro, breaks, house, rave, disco, pop and rock as well an event host and DJ.

Holestar moved from Vienna (after four years) to London and has performed and DJed extensively around Austria, Germany, Italy, Turkey and England.
Since returning to the UK she has performed many times at Trannyshack UK (and appears on the upcoming 'Trannyshack Greatest Tits Volume 1' album) and Kashpoint as well as various bootleg and electro club events around London.
Collaborated with notorious band Minty providing vocals on the first Minty track for 10 years 'It's a Game Part 2' in 2006.
Holestar also won the John Waters category at Horse Meat Disco's Vauxhall Is Gurning Drag Ball doing her best Divine impression while eating fake poo from a dogs bum.
