There are daily departures for the monasteries of the West side from Ouranoupolis, a village near Nea Vrasna. It is worth visiting as the view is breathtaking and the local flora unique.

Kavala - a beautiful amphitheatricallly-built town, 80km East of Nea Vrasna, is a wonderful place to visit for a day. The harbour with the numerous multicolor boats is one of the most picturesque places of the town.

Alistrati cave-Serres. It is one of the biggest and most interesting caves in Greece with distinctive decoration/20km from Nea Vrasna/

Amfipolis There is very interesting archeological site and museum in Amphipolis village/50km from Nea Vrasna/.The famous Leon of Amfipolis was found on the outskirts of the village, near Strimonas Bridge.

Sarti in Chalkidiki is among the most wanted travel destinations on the Sithonia peninsula.

Sarti, a small fishermen and farming village which belongs to the municipality of Toroni, is located on the east side of Sithonia, between Vourvourou and Sikia.

Sithonia the second peninsula of Chalkidiki, is located between the peninsulas Kassandra and Mount Athos. Sithonia is surrounded by the Toronean Gulf at the east side and the Singitic Gulf at the west. From the airport of Thessaloniki it takes approximately one hour to reach the Sithonia peninsula by car.
Sithonia was named after Sithonas, son of Poseidon (Poseidon is in Greek mythology the god of the sea.)

Sithonia, Chalkidiki Greece has many other sites worth visiting, such as:
- the Byzantine castle ruins and Agios Athanasios Church in Toroni
- the traditional village of Parthenonas and the pine area of Psaria in Neos Marmaras
- the Porto Carras Complex, including a winery, stables and a marina.
- the small islands off the coast of Vourvourou village
- the Paleo-Christian Basilica in Nikiti
