Pierpont robbed the South Kokomo Bank in Indiana on March 27, 1925. Along with four other men, they successly escaped with almost $10,000 in cash and bonds. The identity of his comrades is not certain, but they are believed to be Earl Northern, William Behrens, Everett Bridgewater and Thaddeus Skeers. One month later, Harry was captured in Detroit along with Skeers. Both were found guilty of robbing the bank. It was the first time in the bank's history that it had been robbed. |
