So, Notre Dame. Must be pretty important or something. After all, the whole novel's named after it. Hugo's whetted your curiosity. You find yourself dreaming of the mysterious cathedral at night and seeing it in your mashed potatoes. Here, at least some of your questions may be answered! Seek and ye shall find. |

Notre Dame de Paris: Photos This is about the best set up I've seen. Mostly it's informative on some of the history behind certain aspects of the cathedral, and has some of the best pictures of the cathedral out there. NOTE: WEBSITE IS IN FRENCH |

Paris, Notre Dame Cathedral This is the best site to go to about the architecture behind Notre Dame. It has pictures, maps, explanations of architectural structures used in the building, what those structures are...maps, diagrams, absolutely wonderful. It was the site that got my feet wet in Notre Dame.
A digest on Notre Dame Cathedral Well, alright, this doesn't have as much information as the other two above, but at the very bottom, there's a link for some interesting facts and data. You can never have too much Notre Dame trivia! UPDATE: I went to the site and couldn't find the trivia link. Quelle dommage.
Paris Pages: Notre Dame This is probably the most official of all the pages on here. It features a brief history on Notre Dame. Also has information about when it's open to the public.
Notre Dame de Paris Historic Overview Alright, so I lied again. This happens to be the best set-up page out there on the internet over Notre Dame. In English, professionally done...you can't get more information anywhere else, and I swear on that.
Images of Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris This has some nice pictures of the cathedral, especially addressing the tympanums. For the hardcore sculpture lovers
VRND: Notre Dame Cathedral This website is now defunct, but I thought I'd leave it up as an opportunity to talk about it. The program was really fascinating -- it'd let you walk around a virtual Notre Dame and explore it. I managed to find a copy of the program floating around the internet, but it's no longer officially available. E-mail me if you want it and are having trouble finding it online.
