Hi! My name is Pete Jones and I am a retired teacher of French having taught it for close to 30 years. French is cool and I have loved it depuis toujours and that's a long time! Along with languages, playing bridge and cooking, I also enjoy making web pages where I can share my ideas.I spent part of my summer of 2000 in France, Italy and Austria and also designing this page to give you and your students the opportunity to try some on-line exercises for the academic grade nine class. You will also find here activities which you can print out for use in your classroom. All of the activities to which you are about to link relate very specifically to the eight units of the new text. Enjoy!
- Phrases Magiques. One of my favourites! There are lots of them for the different units!
- Les Cinq Amis. Another one of my favourites!
Have fun - they are challenging!
- Word searches. Fun activities for all the units!
- Crosswords for some of the units Enjoy!
- Interactive word matches for all of the units. Good for review. Fun and on-line!!
- A scavenger hunt on monsters for Unité 3 - take your students to the computer lab and have fun!
- Cloze activity for reflexive verbs in Unité 1. This also includes an extension activity.
- Cloze activity for the futur simple in Unité 4. This also includes an extension activity.
- A scavenger hunt on French Canada.
