~More Breeds~
It has a large long, square like skull with powerful jaws. The neck and shoulders are very well muscled. It is used today for a wide variation of tasks, such as cattle herding, compainion, guard dog, and hunting. An other name for the American Bulldog is The Old Country Bulldog because of its origin.
The Bulldog is low-set, but is very powerful. Its head is very large in comparison to its body. It's eyes are set low, and its body is very musculur. When the female gives birth it is very common to do a cesarean section, because the heads of the pups are so big and may block the birth canal. The Bulldog is usually a very friendly, and gentle family pet. Contrery to popular belief, the English Bulldog IS NOT the "original" Bulldog...in fact the American Bulldog is most likely the "original."
This breed is a powerful and athletic dog with a deep chest and well muscled body. It originates from the county of Staffordshire, England. Although it was bred originally for dog fighting, it is a very loyal and devoted family pet. It is very stocky in size and is much shorter than its bigger cusion the American Staffordshire Terrier.
