A1/1-4. The
Righteous. Their Salvation.
26:1 En aquel día cantarán este cántico en
tierra de Judá: Fuerte ciudad tenemos; salvación puso Dios por muros y
antemuro.
26:2 Abrid las puertas, y entrará la gente justa, guardadora de verdades.
26:3 Tú guardarás en completa paz a aquel cuyo pensamiento en ti persevera;
porque en ti ha confiado.
26:4 Confiad en Jehová perpetuamente, porque en Jehová el Señor está la
fortaleza de los siglos.
1 Aquel día se cantará este cantar en tierra de Judá:
«Ciudad fuerte tenemos; para protección se le han puesto murallas y antemuro.
2 Abrid
las puertas, y entrará una gente justa que guarda fidelidad;
3 de
ánimo firme y que conserva la paz, porque en ti confió.
4 Confiad
en Yahveh por siempre jamás, porque en Yahveh tenéis una Roca eterna.
1: In
that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city;
salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
2: Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth
may enter in.
3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
4: Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting
strength:
1: In
that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong
city; he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks.
2: Open the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps faith may enter
in.
3: Thou dost keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee,
because he trusts in thee.
4: Trust in the LORD for ever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.
B1/5,6. The wicked. Brought down.
26:5 Porque derribó a
los que moraban en lugar sublime; humilló a la ciudad exaltada, la humilló
hasta la tierra, la derribó hasta el polvo.
26:6 La hollará pie, los pies del afligido, los pasos de los menesterosos.
5 Porque él derroca a los habitantes de
los altos, a la villa inaccesible; la hace caer, la abaja hasta la tierra, la
hace tocar el polvo;
6 la
pisan pies, pies de pobres, pisadas de débiles.»
5: For
he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he
layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.
6: The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the
steps of the needy.
5: For
he has brought low the inhabitants of the height, the lofty city. He lays it
low, lays it low to the ground, casts it to the dust.
6: The foot tramples it, the feet of the poor, the steps of the
needy."

Righteous. Their way.
26:7
El camino del justo es rectitud; tú, que eres recto, pesas el camino del
justo.
26:8 También en el camino de tus juicios, oh Jehová, te hemos esperado; tu
nombre y tu memoria son el deseo de nuestra alma.
26:9 Con mi alma te he deseado en la noche, y en tanto que me dure el espíritu
dentro de mí, madrugaré a buscarte; porque luego que hay juicios tuyos en la
tierra, los moradores del mundo aprenden justicia.
7 La
senda del justo es recta; tú allanas la senda recta del justo.
8 Pues
bien, en la senda de tus juicios te esperamos, Yahveh; tu nombre y tu recuerdo
son el anhelo del alma.
9 Con
toda mi alma te anhelo en la noche, y con todo mi espíritu por la mañana te
busco. Porque cuando tú juzgas a la tierra, aprenden justicia los habitantes
del orbe.
7: The
way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the
just.
8: Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
9: With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit
within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the
inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
7: The
way of the righteous is level; thou dost make smooth the path of the righteous.
8: In the path of thy judgments, O LORD, we wait for thee; thy memorial
name is the desire of our soul.
9: My soul yearns for thee in the night, my spirit within me earnestly
seeks thee. For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the
world learn righteousness.
B2/10,11. The wicked.
Devoured.
26:10 Se mostrará piedad al malvado,
y no aprenderá justicia; en tierra de rectitud hará iniquidad, y no mirará a la
majestad de Jehová.
26:11 Jehová, tu mano está alzada, pero ellos no ven; verán al fin, y se
avergonzarán los que envidian a tu pueblo; y a tus enemigos fuego los
consumirá.
10 Aunque
se haga gracia al malvado, no aprende justicia; en tierra recta se tuerce, y no
teme la majestad de Yahveh.
11 Yahveh,
alzada está tu mano, pero no la ven; verán tu celo por el pueblo y se
avergonzarán, tu ira ardiente devorará a tus adversarios.
10: Let
favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the
land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of
the LORD.
11: LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall
see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine
enemies shall devour them.
10: If
favor is shown to the wicked, he does not learn righteousness; in the land of
uprightness he deals perversely and does not see the majesty of the LORD.
11: O LORD, thy hand is lifted up, but they see it not. Let them see thy
zeal for thy people, and be ashamed. Let the fire for thy adversaries consume
them.
A3/12,13. The Righteous. Their God.
26:12
Jehová, tú nos darás paz, porque también hiciste en nosotros todas nuestras
obras.
26:13 Jehová Dios nuestro, otros señores fuera de ti se han enseñoreado de
nosotros; pero en ti solamente nos acordaremos de tu nombre.
12 Yahveh,
tú nos pondrás a salvo, que también llevas a cabo todas nuestras obras.
13 Yahveh,
Dios nuestro, nos han dominado otros señores fuera de ti, pero no recordaremos
otro Nombre sino el tuyo.
12:
LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works
in us.
13: O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us:
but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
12: O
LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us, thou hast wrought for us all our works.
13: O LORD our God, other lords besides thee have ruled over us, but thy
name alone we acknowledge.

26:14 Muertos son, no vivirán; han
fallecido, no resucitarán; porque los castigaste, y destruiste y deshiciste
todo su recuerdo.
14 Los
muertos no vivirán, las sombras no se levantarán, pues los has castigado, los
has exterminado y has borrado todo recuerdo de ellos.
14:
They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise:
therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to
perish.
14: They are
dead, they will not live; they are shades, they will not arise; to that end
thou hast visited them with destruction and wiped out all remembrance of them.
A4/15-19a. The
Righteous. Nation increased, and Raised from the dead.
26:15 Aumentaste el pueblo, oh Jehová,
aumentaste el pueblo; te hiciste glorioso; ensanchaste todos los confines de la
tierra.
26:16 Jehová, en la tribulación te buscaron; derramaron oración cuando los
castigaste.
26:17 Como la mujer encinta cuando se acerca el alumbramiento gime y da gritos
en sus dolores, así hemos sido delante de ti, oh Jehová.
26:18 Concebimos, tuvimos dolores de parto, dimos a luz viento; ninguna
liberación hicimos en la tierra, ni cayeron los moradores del mundo.
26:19a Tus muertos vivirán; sus cadáveres resucitarán. ¡Despertad y cantad,
moradores del polvo! porque tu rocío es cual rocío de hortalizas,
15 Has aumentado la nación, Yahveh, has aumentado la nación
y te has glorificado, has ampliado todos los límites del país.
16 Yahveh,
en el aprieto de tu castigo te buscamos; la angustia de la opresión era tu
castigo para nosotros.
17 Como
cuando la mujer encinta está próxima al parto sufre, y se queja en su trance,
así éramos nosotros delante de ti, Yahveh.
18 Hemos
concebido, tenemos dolores como si diésemos a luz viento; pero no hemos traído
a la tierra salvación, y no le nacerán habitantes al orbe.
19a Revivirán
tus muertos, tus cadáveres resurgirán, despertarán y darán gritos de júbilo los
moradores del polvo; porque rocío luminoso es tu rocío,
15: Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased
the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of
the earth.
16: LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer
when thy chastening was upon them.
17: Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her
delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy
sight, O LORD.
18: We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were
brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither
have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
19a: Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they
arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of
herbs,
15: But thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast
increased the nation; thou art glorified; thou hast enlarged all the borders of
the land.
16: O LORD, in distress they sought thee, they poured out a prayer when
thy chastening was upon them.
17: Like a woman with child, who writhes and cries out in her pangs,
when she is near her time, so were we because of thee, O LORD;
18: we were with child, we writhed, we have as it were brought forth
wind. We have wrought no deliverance in the earth, and the inhabitants of the
world have not fallen.
19a: Thy dead shall live, their bodies shall rise. O dwellers in the
dust, awake and sing for joy! For thy dew is a dew of light,

26:20 Anda, pueblo mío, entra en tus aposentos, cierra tras ti tus puertas; escóndete un poquito, por un momento, en tanto que pasa la indignación.
20 Vete, pueblo mío, entra en tus cámaras y cierra tu puerta
tras de ti, escóndete un instante hasta que pase la ira.
20:
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee:
hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
20:
Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide
yourselves for a little while until the wrath is past.
B5/21. The wicked. Destroyed.
26:21 Porque he aquí que Jehová sale de su lugar
para castigar al morador de la tierra por su maldad contra él; y la tierra
descubrirá la sangre derramada sobre ella, y no encubrirá ya más a sus
muertos.
21 Porque he ahí a Yahveh que sale de su
lugar a castigar la culpa de todos los habitantes de la tierra contra él;
descubre la tierra sus manchas de sangre y no tapa ya a sus asesinados.
21: For, behold, the
LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their
iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her
slain.
21: For behold, the LORD
is coming forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for
their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed upon her, and will
no more cover her slain.
