Chapter 2
Will stood in front of the altar, beside him stood his bride Elizabeth Swan. The
girl who had stolen his heart from the first day he saw her.The day he was
rescued. Then he had been intent on finding his father, but over the years his
resolve had dwindled and now he knew he would never find him. Bootstrap Bill
Turner was siting at the bottom of some ocean murdered by Barbossa and the
wicked crew of the Black Pearl.
The lovers exchanged thier vows and the vicar had just finished saying, "you
may now kiss the bride-,"
When Will heard a scuffle and several screams from the back of the hall. He
turned round to see thinking it was Jack Sparrow up to his tricks but instead
he saw a figure in a dirty ragged cloak being dragged out of the church.
Elizabeth shouted at the gentlemen who had hold of the man, "Hey, you there,
stop! What is the matter?" she demanded marching down the aisle. Will followed in her wake.
"What has this poor beggar done that you should treat him so?"
"He's messin up the place ma'am." said the marine looking rather uncomfortable.
By this time governor Swan had appeared, "We can't have beggars and tramps
at your wedding dear. What will people say?"
"They will say we are heartless and cruel enough to throw this poor man out of
this sanctuary. Where is your christian charity?"
"Well-,"
"Let him go." said Will. He then asked the beggar, "Who are you? What is your
name, sir?"
The beggar pulled back the hood of his cloak that till now had hidden his face.
"Fancy you should ask me that. My name is Willam Turner, Bootstrap Bill to my
friends." he said giving an extravagant bow.
Will stepped back stunned by this revelation. The man that stood before him was of the same height and build as himself, yet this man's hair was white and his face wrinkled and weather beaten. From his appearance he could have very well been lying at the bootom of the ocean for an age. Yet through this craggy
exterior Will could see a stark resemblence.
"This is impossible. I was told my father had been murdered by pirates, sent to the sea bed."
"Those scurvvy dogs without an intellegent thought between them. Well thats
what they planned for me but there was a fatal flaw in thier plan. Ye' see they
weren't the only ones affected by the curse. I had plenty of time to escape
once they thought I was gone."
"How did-,"
"How did I know you were 'ere? How did I get 'ere? Well let's just say I had
the help of a mutual friend-," He paused and begain to caugh rather violently.
"Are you alright? Should I fetch a doctor?"
"I don't need any doctor poking me around to know what's wrong with me."
"You must see a doctor." said Elizabeth forcefully.
"I said I don't need no doctor!
"Don't be silly-,"
"I'm dying!" shouted Bootstrap Bill, "My lungs are scuppered." He declared then he deteriated into a fit of coughing. He collapsed on the floor. Will knelt
down beside him, "Get a doctor! Now!"
