I hold in my hands a
paper Valentine
Upon it are two words;
it simply says,"Be Mine!"
Although it's only paper,
with it, I shall not part..
Cherished words so precious
from my true love's heart.

Two words simply stated
by a loved one so dear,
Sending a message to my heart
with meaning so very clear.
I always knew he loved me
from the very start
But oh, how lovely it looks
upon this paper heart!

They are words sweetly
written upon a Valentine;
But engraved upon our hearts
until the end of time...
"Be Mine, now and always
my true love dear,
Holding me in your heart
forever;
keeping me always near!"
