welcome

This page is dedicated to our dear Mother.

Music playing is...
"What a difference you made in my life"

Mother dear, these poems are placed here
especially for you.
Even though others may benefit from them
too.
They may be old, but the words remain
ever so true.
Just like our many loving memories of you!
Even though a thousand times these words,
to you, may be told...
The love in your childrens' hearts will
never grow old.

Memories of Mother

Mother Dear, I picked this iris of lavender hue
From the garden of my fondest memories of you.
You used to spend many cherished hours
Tending to the needs of your lovely flowers.

You planted, weeded, and watered with tender care
And always had a bouquet with others to share.
In growing flowers, I am not very smart
So, I give you this paper one from the garden of
my heart.

Just like the fragrance of the flowers fills the air,
Sweet memories of you, Mother, are always there.
I grew up like those flowers in the sunshine of
your love.
For a mother such as you, I thank God above!

"Mom Extraordinary"

When I was just a child,
"Mom" meant: warm, tender and kind;
Someone I could run to for security;
The safety of her wing, to hide behind.

And now, I remember those busy hands,
With a trillion and one things to do.
Somehow she found the time to
Kiss our hurts and brush away our
tears, too.

Yes, my mom is a "mom extraordinary;"
Like a rose, beautiful with morning dew;
But how often have I failed to reward her
With simple words like, "Mom, I love you!"

Oh! Mother of Mine

Oh! Mother of mine,
Remembering all the loving things you have
done, gentle and kind...

"When I was young, scrubbed my face, hands
and toes."
"When I was older, listened to all my whims
and woes."

Oh! beautiful mother,
I'll cherish you as mine,
Till the end of time.

A Very Special Day

As I try to write this poem for you, Mother,
on this very special day,
To express my love for you, there's really
no way.
You have always been a very special person
in my heart,
and to tell you how much I love you, I haven't
a clue where to start.
I want you to know I appreciate all you have
done,
now that I have raised kids of my own, I realize
it was a lot of hard work, and seldom much fun.
But you worked very hard and you did your best,
hoping someday your work would be done, and
then you could rest.
Though I try to find the words to say it in a
special way,
there's none better than, "I love you, have a
very Happy Birthday!
