My Little Girls

Two little girls with bright
ribbons in your hair,
One with olive complexion the
other oh, so fair.
In my mind, I can still see you
playing there...
Two little girls without a worry
or a care.
I see you today, even though
the years continue to unfurl,
As you once were.....
"my little girls!"

One little girl with everything
blue.
The other desiring everything a
pinkish hue.
One liked the piano, the other,
liked to sing.
All through the house your music
would ring!
Even though the years continue
to unfurl,
I still picture you as...
"my little girls!"

Now, you are grown each with,
girls of your own.
You have long since left your
moma's home.
But even though the years
continue to unfurl,
I will always picture you as...
"my little girls!"
Yes, you are still.....
"my little girls,"...
my precious..."little girls!"
