HYPE THE AUTHORJohn Lee is a student of automotive engineering and is a semi-professional motorsports athlete who has competed against -- and defeated -- some of the most famous racing drivers in the world today. He survived numerous racing crashes at speeds in excess of 130 MPH without injury, and experienced the "thrills" of showing spectators what a human torch looks like at high speed, likewise without injury. According the the U.S. government's Centers for Disease Control ("Sudden Death in Young Athletes"), motor racing is by far the safest sport in America, and is infinitely safer than the government's deadly high school and college athletic events that combined with semi-pro, professional and recreational sports, kill 100,000 athletes under the age of 30 every year. That's nearly three times more than the total number of drivers killed on the highways. (And we give these same government incompetants the authority to teach kids how to drive safely?) Thanks to greedy motor vehicle manufacturers and their corruption of government bureaucrats, inexpensive safety engineering -- as used daily in motorsports -- is virtually prohibited from saving millions of American drivers and passengers from death or injury. Automotive engineers who attempt to design safety instead of "style" into their employers' vehicles find themselves frozen out of a industry that literally places pennies ahead of lives. In addition to a driver license, Lee has graduated from eight race-car driving schools and holds an international racing driver license, a motorcycle license and has soloed an aircraft without killing himself. One of his driving instructors was Andy Wallace, 3-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona. He has chauffeured both Ralph Nader and Joan Claybrook (president of Public Citizen and former head of the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration), and has cruised "in formation" with commuter traffic on the German Autobahn at speeds in excess of 130 MPH for literally hours at a time (but not with Ralph Nader -- Germany's fatality rate is 15% lower than America's despite having no speed limits, denser traffic, curvier roads and flimsier cars). This wealth of practical experience and expert training allowed Lee to identify DEADLY CENSORSHIP within the government's so-called driver-education bureaucracies. Lee is a part-time legal investigator who worked on several murder cases and numerous fatal motor-vehicle crash investigations, including a couple of allegedly drunk- and drugged-driving homicides. He has even taken a bullet in his automobile after appearing on television during one of the serial-killing murder trials of a drug-dealing hit man and a "paid informant" of the U.S. government's Drug Enforcement Administration. Gunfire is the ultimate act of censorship. His historical and investigative journalism articles are published around the world. He's a combat veteran of the U.S. Air Force, as an aircraft mechanic and nuclear weapons specialist on supersonic F111 bombers. Lee no longer kills sleeping women and children for the U.S. government, nor does he continue to kill defenseless animals for sport -- today he hunts the "news" -- perhaps the most dangerous sport in the world. The author has real-world experience of successfully fighting Fraud, Waste and Abuse of literally billions of dollars of taxpayers' funds within a monstrous government bureaucracy (as described in the Pentagon's TIG BRIEF magazine). Currently, Lee is personally experiencing a $1.5-million civil prosecution pending in federal court against General Mills, one of the world's largest multi-national corporations, doing legal battle against a tag-team of ex-prosecutor corporate attorneys (and ex-prosecutor judges who would rather seek commissions on drug-prohibition forfeitures) willing to try every illegal trick in their arsenal. (Despite their unlimited resources, they don't stand a chance, and have been caught cheating numerous times in court so far. Courtrooms make for good spectating -- much better than TeeVee or the movies -- check it out sometime -- it's "free".) After personally witnessing: (1) a severe crash of caused by a police car running a red light at high speed in a crowded city intersection -- had Lee been one car ahead his passenger at least would have been killed; (2) nearly being side-swiped by an overtaking police car 2 feet outside the cop's lane; (3) nearly being hit head-on by a police car going around a curve 2 feet outside the cop's lane; and (4) witnessing cops committing every conceivable traffic crime, from driving without headlights and burned-out taillights to weaving and crossing yellow lines, Lee decided that hero-worship of traffic police was unfounded. He witnessed a gang of cops harassing well-behaved patrons entering a nightclub by screaming, "We're gonna kick your asses, you assholes!" and then laughing about it to each other. The author decided that perhaps "Department of Safety" is about as accurate a name for police as "Department of Defense" (DOD) accurately describes what the Pentagon does for a living. (DOD was once officially called the Department of War.) John Lee has survived 15-years of married life, so far. For fun, he enjoys hanging out with interesting friends, and playing with his frisky felines and dive-bombing talking birds. Every now and then he has been known to partake of the creativity-enhancing, social-lubrication and stress-relieving benefits of alcohol beverage.
