This is Tippy, the first dog I owned after being married. We got him as a puppy in 1973, he was a mixed breed, his mother was a buff Cocker Spaniel and his father was a Beagle.
This dog was highly intelligent, I knew nothing about training and yet he learned to be a good dog. I loved this dog so much. He had a very shiny black coat and ear fringe. I loved stroking his ears. One of the things Jerry would let him do is tug on his pant leg. Tippy thought it was such fun, but he sure ruined a lot of pants!!
We had Tippy for 13 wonderful years.
