LESS FORTUNATE
Hopefully many of you have been to your local Humane Society and hopefully you've adopted pets from there.  So many beautiful, sweet and loving cats (& dogs) end up in shelters.  It is a great place to find the perfect companion.  For those who have visited shelters, you've probably noticed the cold and harsh cages the pets are kept in while waiting for new homes.  Some of them could be in the cage a month or more.  Believe me, they are the "lucky" ones, because in many shelters it isn't possible for the pets to be kept that long for lack of space.  Anyway while there, wouldn't it be great for the pets to have a small token of love and caring in their cage like a blanket?  And wouldn't it be great if all of us could be a part of this?  We have found a site with a program called the "Snuggles Project."

You can crochet, knit or sew a blanket and donate it.
You can donate the cloth or yarn needed for them to make a blanket.
You can donate the money needed to cover the cost of making the blanket.
You can have the blanket sent to your local shelter.
You can have them send the blanket to where it is needed most.

If and when you are planning an addition to your fuzzy family please don't hesitate to go to your local Humane Society and see the pets they have to offer.
