He was 21 years old and residing in Rollin at the time of his enlistment.
He was Killed In Action at the battle of Williamsburg Va. on the 5th of May 1862.

He was Killed In Action at the battle of Charles City Cross Road Va. on the 30th of June 1862.
He was discharged because of disability May 1862.
According to the Michigan in the Civil War he served in the 2nd Cavalry in Co. I

According to the Civil War Roster: Second Michigan Cavalry he served in the 2nd Cavalry in Co. G. "KIDDER Homer H. Hillsdale County 22 disch. for disability 3 Oct 1862."

I was happy and surprised that Five (5) Kidder's served in the 2nd Michigan Infantry. That is Three (3) more Kidder's that I knew about.
