He stated at that time that his home was Detroit.
He was promoted to 1st Sergt on the 25th of September 1861.
He was promoted to 2nd Lieut. on 8th of February 1862 (As of Co. H) and transferred from Company A to Company H the same day.
He was again transfered on the 1st of June 1862 from Company H to Company G.
He was promoted to 1st Lieut on the 1st of September 1862.
He Resigned from service on the 18th of May 1863.
He was an Original Companions of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States.
His last Reported Residence was Detroit Mich.
He was laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit Michigan.
