Lang, William (W. G.)

Co. "A"

William Lang enlisted, as a Corporal, on the 18th of April 1861 in Detroit Michigan.

He indicated his home as being Wayne Co. Mich. He was 24 years old when he enlisted.

He was Promoted to Sgt. on the 25th of September 1861.

Promoted to Full 1st Sgt on 01 January 1864.

He transfered to Co. C 2nd Mich. Inf. I am not certain what date but believe it was for a Commission that he transfered.

He was again promoted to 1st Lieut on 31 May 1864 (as of "C"?).

Promoted to Full Capt on 05 November 1864. (as of "C"?)

His Last Reported Residence was Detroit Michigan.

He passed on the 7th of January 1919 and was laid to rest in the Veteran's Cemetery in Grand Rapids Michigan.
