He was promoted to 1st Sgt.
He was promoted to Corp. on the 9th of December 1862.
He was promoted to 1st Lieut on the 8th of March 1863 as Co. K.
He was WIA on the 11th of July 1863 at the battle of Jackson Miss. He Recovered.
He was Mustered Out on the 28th of July 1865 at Delaney House in Washington DC.
He passed away on the 1st of April 1892 and was laid to rest in the Veteran's Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Kent County Michigan.
