Harry C. Church
Harry C. Church residence at the outbreak of the Civil War was Kalamazoo Michigan.
At age 28 He enlisted in Coy K of the Second on the 10th of May 1861 in Kalamazoo.
He was Commissioned to date April 25th 1861 at the Rank of 2nd Lt. He was the first for Company "K".
He resigned on the 27th of September 1861
At age 21 he enlisted in Coy B of the Second on the 10th of May 1861 in Hudson as a Private. He was Mustered on the 25th of May 1861.
He was taken prisoner at White Oak Swamp June 29th 1862. He was exchanged on August 7th 1862.
He was Wounded in Action (WIA) at Knoxville Tenn. on November 24th 1863. He recovered from these wounds.
He was attached to Coy. B 17th Mich. Inf. from January 30th 1864 to April 9 1864.
He was Discharged at the expiration of term of service at Detroit Mich. on July 21st 1864.
His last reported residence was Luther Michigan.
He was laid to rest at the North Park Cemetery in Lake Co., Mich.(NEW 03/09/05)
