He was promoted to 1st Sgt.
He transferred to Company “I”.
He was then promoted to Regimental Sgt. Major (Brevet) on 16 September 1862. On the same day he was promoted to 2nd Lt. He was promoted to 1st Lt. on 12 April 1863.
He was wounded in action (wounded in the groin) in Jackson on June 11th 1863. He recovered from his wounds.
He was promoted to Brevet Capt & Brevet Major on 13 March 1865.
He was Discharged on the 29th of June 1864 in Detroit Mich.
