Edwin (Actual) -or- Edward Warren was the son of Levi Warren (1798-1866) & Sarah (Dean) Warren (1807-1866).

He was the fifth born of seven children. They were William Crossman, Stafford Dean Warren, Helen Warren, Emeline Warren, Mary Ann Warren, Frank Warren.

He enlisted as a Private in Company D of the 2nd Michigan Infantry on the 20th of April 1861 in Adrian Michigan at the age of 24.

While the Returning Veterans where on furlough he was Attached to Company K of the 17th Mich. Inf. He returned on 9th of April 1864.

His brother Frank also served in the Infantry during the American Civil War.

Miles June 20, 1865 3rd Eva May Bishop 1889 Frank was in Company C 37 Wisconsin volunteers for the civil war. He enlisted March 30, 1864.
