There is an old lady who lives all alone.
Her children are married, homes of their own.
In raising her family, she did the best she could,
Though she may not have done all she should!
If she made mistakes, lack of love wasn't to blame.
If she had it to do over, it might be the same.
She was a good mother, true and sincere,
One that you could love, honor and revere!
Now that Christmas is near, there are tears in her eyes.
Her children are coming home, what a wonderful surprise!
She rushes about to get things done.
She will see her children, each and every one!
