Now that his prayers are said,
Kiss him gently and put him to bed.
Make him secure in God's love.
Tell him God watches from above.
God watches while he's asleep,
So trust God, his soul to keep.
Instill faith while he's small.
He'll be a man in no time at all!
Teach him while you may,
One day he'll be far away.
When you've taught him as a lad,
Jesus, the best friend a boy ever had.
