COMMAND THE WINDS

"YOU WHO COMMAND THE WINDS,

COMMAND THE FINANCES AS WELL!"

When God told me this truth last year, I wondered just what He meant! I knew how to command the storms, as I had been operating in this truth for many years.

When a tornado would treaten my family, I would stand outside and watch the storm spawn a tornado and command it to "go over there two miles and stay away from any of my family!" It would obey my voice and I became confident in His ability to move the winds at my voice. This was not because of me; but because of His Grace and Mercy! This was something that was true; but a truth that I did not know how God accomplished; nor I did not have to know how He did it, all I needed to know was that He did!!!

God had began showing me about tornadoes and how they formed and moved in Lubbock, Texas before the ones that hit there in 1970. At the end of 1967, I began to feel that a great storm was going to hit within the next two or three years. Many people made fun of me for feeling that a tornado would actually occur, as they always went over the city. I shared my feelings with my husband and he said, he didn't think one would happen; but, "If one does hit, I’ll tell you how it will happen. It always goes over the city hanging in the air just above the buildings. If it hits, it will grab those tall buildings that they are putting up. They will be sucked to the ground and then they will just tear every thing up!"

We were in Detroit when the report came that Lubbock had indeed been hit by a storm of perhaps three tornadoes and had been devastated in the central and northern sections. My family was all in the south-central area and were all well except my sister who worked in the north-central section. She was hurt and in the hospital. She recovered, praise the Lord, but it was a scary time. She said that live wires were everywhere and if they had tried to get out of the car which had overturned with them in it, they would have been electrocuted. I was so glad that I was not there. I had asked God not to let a tornado come while I was there. He had been faithful to my words as we had left the previous summer!

After that, a storm came to Detroit. I was so frightened as the tornadoes were again swirling around. I gathered my two children up and got my Bible in my arms and the children and I got on their bed and began to sing and worship the Lord. We stopped and prayed "God, we are so frightened, make the rain stop over our trailer and let the sky be blue over it as well. Send the storms two miles over to the north-west and let peace reign here."

I was so scared inside; but I could not allow my children to see that fear! I had to be calm in the face of that storm for them! I had to have faith in what I was saying for them!. . . In just a minute, the wind stopped and the rain quit pounding on the window! We opened the door, looked outside and found that the rain had stopped. We went outside and sure enough, the sky was perfectly clear over our trailer but it was raining "cats and dogs" outside our trailer park!

When my husband got home, the children told him all about our experience and how God had answered our prayers. He looked at me and reminded me that he worked in the area that we sent the storms. He told us that it really rained and "tore up jake" there! He said, the next time, we were to send them some other way than his way! We agreed to do that next time; but at the time, I was too scared to think of such things!

Since the Lord said to me, "You who command the winds, command the finances as well!", I have been learning just what He meant by that. As I can command the winds and they obey my voice through His power and His might, then I command the finances to be poured out as well. It is hard to grasp this fact, but I know that it is true. I am learning to walk in this truth more and more each day! If you can command the winds -- then the Lord says that you have the power to command the finances as well. Begin to learn how to pour them out as you pray and ask Him to show you how!!!
