The Vultures, The Dogs & The Building

 

 

In my dream, I saw two men with two black, evil-looking dogs.  They shied away from me as I moved closer.  The men had a furtive look about them and they controlled the two dogs.  The dogs snarled at me as they turned aside following the men.

 

As I walked along with some friends, we began to notice a few vultures in a tree that bordered the lane.  As we continued to walk, more and more vultures landed in that and nearby trees.  Soon that tree was full and yet more and more vultures appeared and covered the trees that lined the lane like a thick, black, moving cloud.  Soon, the trees were totally covered with these big, black vultures and more were trying to land all the time but found no place to put their feet.  Many began to walk and hop along the ground and to squawk bitterly.  That verse ran through my mind “Where the carrion is, there will the vultures by gathered.”

 

As we walked further, we came to a large, white building with a flat roof.  Many people were coming and going in and out of this building without seeing the vultures or at least caring if they did, going about their daily lives without a seaming care.  We tried to tell them to be careful and to watch what was going on around them, but they were uncaring and felt we were too morbid.  All was well and there was nothing to fear.  Why were we making such a fuss?

 

As we watched, more and more people entered the building, coming past the vultures without a care.  They were only concerned with their business inside the building.  As we walked and watched, more and more people arrived and entered the building.  My daughter and her friend came and began the watch with us.  She and her friend decided to patrol the area and they left me alone to watch as I could not walk very far and they could move without having to watch out for me.

 

As I watched, the vultures began to move closer and closer to the building and I moved with them to stand between them and the building that was filled with all the people.  Suddenly, I saw the men with the dogs at their sides.  They were moving closer to the building and trying to get close enough to get inside.  As I stood between them and the door, they began to circle the building to find another way inside.  When another of my friends arrived, I moved around the building looking for the men with the dogs. 

 

Not finding them, I suddenly was up on the roof.  I could see one of the dogs as he was trying to go through a vent in the roof.  He squirmed and squirmed until he could get into the vent and soon was out of sight.  Soon the other dog was inside as well.  I felt the battle soon to be raging below and went back down to the ground.  The guard was still there but things had changed.  Fear hung in the air as well as dread.

 

Soon my daughter and her friend came and entered the building even though I wanted her to stay outside where it was safer, I felt for I knew that the battle was soon to be raged and she would be in the thick of it, for she loved a good fight!

 

The battle became fierce and so I went inside to join in and see if I could help.  Evil was everywhere.  It had conquered the day!  As I began to move around, I began to see the awful scene that was being played out inside.  Every kind of evil and perversion imaginable was there, as the men and dogs were everywhere.  People were at their mercy and I had to avert my eyes so that I would not have to look upon the picture.

 

Soon help arrived and the battle became fierce again and once more I was on the roof watching at it raged inside.  Soon the building became a prison for those evil ones who were now trying to escape from it without success.  The people were freed and ran out but the war had only begun!

 

At this point, I woke up and asked the meaning of this dream.  I was told, “The forces of darkness are gathering for the final assault which is not far off.  More and more forces are gathering.  Soon their numbers will be complete and the assault will begin. 

 

The people are not ready but I have given the call for my prophets to warn them even if they do not listen.  Yet my prophets must be true to my call to watch and warn when danger comes.  Listen to your prophets and do not mock them; but hear what they say.

 

The battle is between good and evil with the people caught between.  Which side will you take?  The battle rages and the evil seem to overcome for a season; but the victory is to the good and finally, it takes it’s rightful place and all who stand with it will have a part of the victory celebration!
