AS LITTLE CHILDREN
It
is not difficult for a child to comprehend eternity. It is however difficult for a child to comprehend a beginning and
an ending. We were made in the image of
God. God is eternal. John 1:1-3, In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. ALL things were made by Him; and WITHOUT HIM
WAS NOT ANYTHING MADE THAT WAS MADE.
Colossians
1:16-17, For by Him (Jesus) were ALL things created, that are in heaven and
that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL things were created by Him, and
for Him: And He is before ALL things,
and by Him ALL things consist.
Ephesians
2:4-6, God who is rich in mercy, For His great love wherewith He loved us, EVEN
WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN SINS, has QUICKENED us TOGETHER with Christ, (by grace you
are saved;) and has RAISED US UP TOGETHER and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY
PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS.
Colossians
3:1, If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where
Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For YOU ARE DEAD, AND YOUR LIFE IS HID WITH
CHRIST IN GOD.
According
to THE WORD OF GOD our life is hid with Christ in God. And this took place while we were yet dead
in sins. We read again in Romans
5:5, Even when we were dead in sins (God) quickened us together with Christ
Jesus and has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus. This took place while we were yet dead in sins and when Jesus
was raised up into heaven by His heavenly Father.
Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. And in Matthew 18:1-2, Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set Him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. And in verse 10 He continues: In heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
In
Matthew 21:15-16 it is recorded: When the chief priests and scribes saw the
wonderful things that He (Jesus) did, and the children crying in the temple,
and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, and said
unto Him, Hearest Thou what these say?
And Jesus said unto them, Yea; have you never read, Out of the mouth of
babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise?
In
Matthew 11:25-26, At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, because Thou hast hid these things from the wise and
prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in Thy sight.
To an innocent child eternity and knowing the Father, the
heavenly realm in the Father, is natural.
An innocent child cannot comprehend death. God can reveal things to an innocent child that the wise and the
prudent cannot see.
