Blessed Art Thou
This scripture was given to me last night just after I talked with a friend who asked me to pray for her because she needed guidance.
Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.
And as I read on I realized how important it is to receive the next two verses as well: Proverbs 3:7-8, Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
This is the process of His purging us. Who can know our heart but the Spirit of God within us. I am amazed with what He is revealing in the depths of my heart that I need to repent of, to thank Him for revealing it and to welcome more of His purging to get rid of it for His image to take place in that and every unturned area in my life.
God in His sovereignty (wherein is His abounding exceeding - great love, mercy and grace) has purposed to subject us all to vanity for His works to be made manifest in us, the perfection of our spirit, soul and body in His image; the manifestation of the sons of God. It is essential for us to be made conscious that it is all Him at the beginning, the ending and all that happens in between; to acknowledge Him in all our ways! Praise God that we have received revelation knowledge of this by His Spirit: that His work is already done. It is imperative that we acknowledge it to enter into the rest He has prepared for us, that we rest in the reality of His finished work and rejoice in it, while not yet seeing it taking place in our lives, but knowing that we know by the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, it surely will take place here even as it has in heaven. “ Thy will be done in earth as it (already) is in heaven.” Thy kingdom come in (this earth and in all the) earth as it is in heaven!
Remember, Jesus said to Thomas, recorded in John 11:28, “Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” He was speaking of us who believe His word and rest in His word though we have not seen it manifested in our lives as yet. With hope and anticipation we wait for it, and are learning patience while waiting for it. And even when everything that happens to us or around us appears to defy His word, we do not lose hope but keep our eyes on Him through it all. We know we are already victorious over every adverse situation because He won the victory already for us. That is already done. Everything God did is already done in heaven. He did make us in His image! That is reality! The sooner we begin to see it in our spirit and say it is so, the sooner we will begin to see it manifesting in our lives.
I am convinced that the sooner we begin to see and then declare that the work is finished (that we are whole and complete in Him, perfect and entire, wanting nothing because His word tells us it is so, even to declare this Truth through every adverse circumstance) the sooner we will begin to see the manifestation of His finished work in our lives. We will then be the blessed ones Jesus was referring to when He spoke those words to Thomas. I say this because we have seen the truth in our spirit and are stating that which we know God says, not what we are seeing in the natural if it defies His word. His word takes priority over anything that is screaming to the contrary.
This is a hard lesson to learn through the tough places He is taking us through. But He is taking us through and will take us all the way through to the end. I will trust in Him “Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,”(Eph. 4:13), “That you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God,” (Col. 4:12), “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus. Faithful is He who calleth you, who also will do it,” (1st Thes. 5:23-24). “He is both the author and finisher of our faith,” (Hebrews 12:2).
“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21)
The joy of the Lord be our strength today
and every day.
