DEATH STALKS THE EARTH AGAIN
Fourteen years ago, they flashed the pictures repeatedly of starving babies and people in Africa. We, in America and around the world, cried and hid our eyes; yet, they showed those pictures over and over again until we could hardly stand it. Food began to pour in and soon, we saw clothed and happy children with hair no longer red from lack of protein. We thought—never again—never again!
Today, the pictures are back—this time in the Sudan area. The pictures are so graphic that it makes me cry again. Skin stretched over bones and so weak they can hardly hold their heads up, even sitting down. Totally naked—men, women and children—sitting or lying in the dirt, waiting for food or death--if it reaches them too late. The graves are piling up again!
Food has been denied by their government. One and a half million have died over the years of the civil war. Pleas have been made to allow the food airlifts to come in and save these little children, men, women and old people.
Is this ethnic cleansing? Is there just not enough food? Draught has stalked the land for years. Will all this horror spread? If so, how soon can we expect it to come here? Many feel that we will be spared; but will we? The Lord has been speaking to his prophets for several years telling them that, like Egypt, there was to be 7 years of good harvests and 7 years of famine for us in the U.S. as well as elsewhere. We do not believe that it can come here and happen to us with all our technology. Are we so sure?
Begin to pray for those in the Sudan! Send what you can to help feed those who are starving each day. Send them clothes and blankets to cover their nakedness and help keep them warm in the cold nights. For we read in [Matt 25:31-46 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Then will the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (KJV)]
Pray that we escape the awful plagues that are beginning to raise their ugly heads—Draught—Hunger—Lack—Sicknesses—Starvation—and finally, DEATH!
Pray!!! Pray!!! Pray!!! And Give!!!
Plant gardens in your back yards and alleys—can all the food you grow or find. Store up as our grandparents did when they lived on the farm. My grandmother planted, harvested, canned over a hot wood stove in August and September and stored food for herself and whichever of her children were "home" at the time. When they came "home," there was always enough food to take care of them (when the "going got tough.") Because she worked hard and made provisions for those times (when there might be a hailstorm, draught or a "blight" of grasshoppers), she was always ready. She had a three years supply of food on hand and when she harvested the new crop then she would start using the oldest ones she had "put up"
Be prepared, as she was—Don’t let a famine come to your house.
Watch and pray!!! Be ready!!! Seek the Lord!!!
Be able to help those who are in need as my grandmother did. She was 70 years old at the time; but her "larder" was full and she saved her family many times from starving and fed the men who came by looking for a "hand out" as well. They would cut her some wood and she would fix them a meal, launder their clothes and mend them before returning them. The men always were grateful and I am sure told others about grandma’s farm!
She had no money—yet she was rich!!!
Famine has been predicted for the rest of the world as well as the U.S.—5 years of famine. Will you and your family survive? God has been speaking! Is anyone listening?
Pray!!! Wake Up!!! Be prepared!!! Stand in faith!!!
