"I REMEMBER YOU"
DEAR MICHAEL ...... AGAIN A DAY APPROACHES THAT IS OF AWFUL PAIN FOR ME ....... STILL DON'T HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER YET AND IT SEEMS ALMOST INCONCEIVEABLE THAT IT'LL BE NINE YEARS THAT YOU LEFT ......
I REMEMBER YOU EVERYDAY.... I HURT FOR YOU EVERYDAY ...... I KEEP GETTING TOLD I NEED TO MOVE ON ... I HAVE MOVED ON BUT NOT IN COMPLETE BLOOM AS PART OF MY HEART DIED THAT SAME DAY, THAT SAME HOUR, THAT SAME MINUTE, AND SECOND THAT YOU DID .......
I REMEMBER YOUR LIFE FROM BIRTH TO DEATH ..... SOME OF IT HAUNTING ...... BUT MOST OF IT FULL OF LOVE AND GLOWING WITH PRIDE ....... I REMEMBER THE LESSON I LEARNED FROM YOU AS YOU FOUGHT THIS AND THEN ACCEPTED IT ....... YOUR CONTINUED ZEST FOR LIFE JUST KEPT GOING ........ YOUR BRILLIANT SMILE THAT SO OFTEN GAVE ME COURAGE TO KEEP GOING IN LIFE .... NOW A MEMORY BUT AS I REMEMBER IT, IT STILL HELPS ME TO KEEP GOING IN MY LIFE NOW ....... THIS LIFE NOW IS A PLACE I JUST NEVER THOUGHT I'D BE AT ...... BUT I AM .... IT IS A GRUELING TASK TO CONTINUE ON DAY BY DAY ..... A GRUELING TASK TO KEEP FAMILY TRADITIONS ALIVE ..... BUT THEN I REMEMBER YOU AND I KEEP GOING ......
I TRY TO GO ON WITH YOUR COURAGE, HOW I REMEMBER YOUR COURAGE ....... I TRY TO PASS ON SOME OF THAT COURAGE TO OTHER MOM'S LEFT HERE IN THE WORLD I AM FORCED TO LIVE IN NOW, I TRY TO EASE SOME OF THEIR PAIN WITH SOME OF YOUR COURAGE ....... WHEN I REMEMBER YOU I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO HONOR YOU FOR THAT COURAGE ..... WISH I COULD GIVE YOU A RIBBON FOR THAT WONDERFUL COURAGE OF YOURS .....HOW IS IT THAT MY LIFE GOES ON HERE .... BUT YOURS DIDN'T ........
SOMETIMES AS I REMEMBER YOU THE FEELINGS ARE SO STRONG I FEEL YOUR PRESENCE HERE .... BUT THEN IF I BLINK AN EYE YOU'RE GONE ...... SOMETIMES AS I REMEMBER YOU I FEEL THE TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE ..... AND SOMETIMES AS I REMEMBER YOU I SMILE AND EVEN LAUGH ..... BUT MOSTLY WHEN I REMEMBER YOU, I AM REMINDED THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER HERE, NO LONGER A PART OF OUR LIVES, BUT YOUR LESSONS THAT YOU LEFT BEHIND HERE ARE FOREVER TEACHING US TO GO ON ....... SO THOUGH NINE YEARS HAVE COME AND GONE .... RIGHT NOW AS I'M SITTING HERE REMEMBERING YOU IT FEELS LIKE BARELY NINE SECONDS HAVE GONE BY ....... I FEEL THE GAPING HOLE IN MY HEART ...... THE NEVER ENDING PAIN TEARING AWAY SLOWLY AT MY HEART ....... I REMEMBER YOU ...... I REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU AND HOPE THAT YOU ARE INDEED ON TOP IN A BETTER PLACE ......
AND YES I REMEMBER YOU WHEN I'M WORKING, WHEN I'M WALKING, WHEN I'M CLEANING HOUSE, EATING FISH ...... THE LIST GOES ON ...... I JUST WISH INSTEAD OF THE LIST THAT GOES ON IT WAS YOUR LIFE THAT WENT ON ..... SO TODAY I REMEMBER YOUR LIFE, YOUR PLACE IN EVERYONE'S LIFE THAT YOU CONNECTED TO ..... AND I REMEMBER YOUR LOVE ....... I HOPE YOU TOO CAN REMEMBER ME!!!!!
LOVE "YOUR MOM"
We Do Not Need A Special Day
We do not need a special day
To bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you
Are very hard to find.
Each morning when we awake,
We know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heart ache
As we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you,
Your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly;
In death we love you still.
There will always be a heartache,
And often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.
If tears could make a staircase,
And heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts;
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

The Prayer
I pray you'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go
And help us to be wise in times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way
Lead us to the place, guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe
I pray we'll find your light, and hold it in our hearts
When stars go out each night, remind us where you are
Let this be our prayer, when shadows fill our day
Help us find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
A world where pain and sorrow will be ended
And every heart that's broken will be mended
And we'll remember we are all God's children
Reaching out to touch you
Reaching to the sky
We ask that life be kind, and watch us from above
We hope each soul will find another soul to love
Let this be our prayer, just like every child
Who needs to find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
Needs to find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
